Son of Man Hoodie

“The Son of Man” is the name Christ used for Himself more than any other.

Daniel saw “one like the Son of man” coming with the clouds of heaven and given an everlasting dominion (Daniel 7:13–14). Christ took the title and showed what that dominion looks like: “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

The Fathers heard a confession of the Incarnation in it. The eternal Son of God became Son of Man: born of the Virgin, of Adam's line, with the same human nature we carry into the gym, the fast and the vigil. He took it so that it could be healed.

Our name points to Him, not to us.
